Tips, not a practice mode

Guides and the mistakes

The loop in the official text is four moves: get into the building, grab what pays, hide or run, and leave through the exit alive. There is no official practice mode. The tips on this hub are the failures that show up over and over in public rounds.

What I checked

The mistakes I kept seeing in other people’s rounds were boring and expensive. Someone grabs the microwave first. Someone hears the exit open and stays for one more shelf. Someone treats a locker as a solved problem. Someone sprints the stairs while the Locust card is literally about stairs. I wrote those down instead of a 15-article clone of other wikis.

Tips that survive a re-watch

Learn the exit direction before the bag is heavy. Stay under 15 kg if you still need to move. Crouch when the entity’s sense is sound. Use a barricade as a head start, then take the other hall. On entity-player nights, remember you might be the hunter next vote, so do not build a route that only works if the monster is bad at the game.

Which guide to open

First match: how to play. A specific door question: barricade doors. You want the monster role: play as the entity. You want a ranking: the situation tier list, which is an opinion and says so.

Questions

Is there a tips page separate from this?

The tips live in this hub. A second page would repeat them.

Which map should a new player vote for?

Players point at American Dorm because of extra exits. Confirm that in the current build. Supermarket is the one we can describe room by room.
