What the developer said about AI
The description states: “AI tools were utilized to assist with UI development, bug fixes, and optimization, as the game is developed and maintained by a solo developer.” The same text says the Locust model was made by that developer out of respect for Doctor Nowhere’s character. That is assistance, not a claim that the whole game was generated.

What I checked
I copied the disclosure from the Games API response on 24 October 2026 and stopped there. I have no interview, no percentage, and no commit history. A Steam forum can discuss a Roblox game; the platform alone does not identify which same-name work a thread means. No forum claim is treated as developer evidence here. The itch.io project that shares the name labels its own demo as AI assisted for code, graphics, and sounds. That label belongs to FEARsoft LTD, not to Vantage Gameworks.
What the sentence covers
UI, bug fixes, and optimization. It does not say the maps, the entities, or the item art were generated. The Locust credit says the developer made the model, but does not disclose every tool used in that process. Both sentences can sit in one description without becoming “100% generated” or “no tools at all”.
What I will not add
No share of the workload. No accusation. No extra quote. If the developer posts a longer note on the Roblox group, this page should quote that note and change the check date.

The name is shared by multiple works. We do not rely on an unidentified discussion thread. Steam search returned zero products for this title on the review date.
Is the itch.io demo the source of the rumor?
It is a separate game that discloses AI assistance. People mix the names.
